teamLab is bringing the Fukuoka Castle Ruins Light Festival back to Fukuoka’s Maizuru Park from October 30, 2026, after a seven-year absence. The outdoor night exhibition will turn the historic castle site into an immersive art space shaped by light, sound, nature, and the presence of visitors.

The exhibition runs through January 11, 2027, with evening hours changing slightly by period. Weekday tickets start at ¥700 for elementary school students, while weekend and holiday admission starts at ¥900. Check the date-specific hours and ticket rules before visiting, as advance time reservations are required on weekends, holidays, and December 29–31.

Adult weekday admission is ¥2,300, with a weekday pair ticket for two priced at ¥4,000. Weekend and holiday adult tickets cost ¥2,500, while preschool children can enter free. Tickets go on sale October 1 through ARTNE TICKET ONLINE and Ticket Pia.

About the Fukuoka Castle Ruins Light Festival

From ¥700: teamLab Fukuoka Castle Ruins Light Festival Returns in Japan October 30

The artworks respond to weather, movement, nearby people, and the historic stone walls. Installations include glowing objects that stand up and resonate when touched or blown over, a giant tree whose flowers bloom and fall across an hour, and animated figures walking across the castle ruins.
