For the first time in Japan, Tokyo Ramen Street is hosting the Ultimate Spicy Mala Ramen Fair in Tokyo Station. This event runs from August 5 to September 17, 2026, bringing a unique collection of spicy and numbing mala ramen dishes to the city’s popular underground ramen zone.

Ten renowned ramen shops, including new additions and local favorites, have created exclusive mala-themed ramen available only during this fair. Each bowl offers a distinct blend of Sichuan peppercorns and chili heat designed to stimulate the appetite during the hot summer months.

About the Ultimate Spicy Mala Ramen Fair

Now in its fifth year, the fair has become a summer highlight at Tokyo Ramen Street, located in the basement of Tokyo Station’s Yaesu South Exit. With a focus on mala (a combination of numbing and spicy flavors), the participating shops have crafted limited-edition ramen dishes that balance heat and flavor using ingredients like Sichuan pepper, chili oil, and various spices.
