Mister Donut is launching three savory Sakutto Pies in Japan from September 30, 2026. The seasonal lineup turns stew-inspired dishes from France, Italy and Finland into crisp, whole-wheat pies, with takeout prices starting at ¥270 (tax included).
Available at Mister Donut stores across Japan, except for some locations, the pies will be sold while supplies last. Their compact size and low price make them suitable for a quick breakfast, lunch, snack or takeout stop during an autumn trip around Japan.
The lineup includes Sakutto Rich Beef Stew Pie, Sakutto Fragrant Tomato Chicken Stew Pie and Sakutto Mild Salmon Potato Cream Stew Pie. Each costs ¥270 (tax included) to take out or ¥275 (tax included) when eaten in the shop.
About the Sakutto Pies
The three savory pies are inspired by familiar comfort foods from different countries. Mister Donut wraps each filling in a pastry made with whole-wheat flour, then bakes it until fragrant and crisp. The pies can also be warmed before eating for a softer, richer filling and a more pronounced toasted aroma.

- Sakutto Mild Salmon Potato Cream Stew Pie draws on Finland’s lohikeitto, layering a creamy sauce with potatoes, onions, carrots and salmon flakes. It is ¥270 (tax included) to take out or ¥275 (tax included) to eat in.
- For home warming, microwave a pie at 500 watts for about 10 to 20 seconds. Toasting it for another one to two minutes can add extra crispness.
