Fans of the popular Chiikawa manga can now enjoy a delightful new treat: cut-out baumkuchen cakes featuring Chiikawa, Hachiwara, and Usagi characters. Starting July 3, 2026, these charming cakes will be available exclusively at Chiikawa Land stores across Japan.
About the Chiikawa Cut-Out Baumkuchen
This special collaboration comes from the cut-out baumkuchen specialist Katanu-kiya, known for combining delicious flavors with playful designs. The cakes feature a moist, flat-baked baumkuchen base topped with a white pound cake layer made from egg whites. Each cake is decorated with cute ribbon-themed prints and cut-out shapes of the beloved characters, making the experience of gently removing the surrounding cake to reveal the figure a fun and engaging activity.
Created by illustrator Nagano, the Chiikawa series follows the everyday adventures of small, endearing characters like Chiikawa, Hachiwara, and Usagi. This collaboration with Katanu-kiya brings these characters to life in an edible form that combines taste, cuteness, and interactive fun.
