eggslut in Shinjuku is serving a limited-edition UNATAMA Egg Sandwich starting July 11, featuring grilled eel and creamy scrambled eggs for Japan’s midsummer tradition.

About eggslut’s UNATAMA Egg Sandwich
Originating from Los Angeles, eggslut specializes in egg dishes and now celebrates Japan’s summer custom of eating eel on “Doyo no Ushi no Hi” with a unique sandwich. The UNATAMA Egg Sandwich combines tender grilled eel glazed in savory sauce with eggslut’s signature creamy scrambled eggs, enhanced by a special Nara pickled melon mayo and fresh mitsuba leaves for a refreshing touch.

The menu includes three options: the regular size with chopped eel for ¥1,750, a half-eel deluxe sandwich for ¥2,398, and the premium sandwich featuring a whole eel and an over-medium egg for ¥4,048. Each offers a rich blend of flavors that showcase the season’s best.
In addition, eggslut is collaborating with Yawataya Isogoro, a historic seven-spice maker founded in 1736, to offer limited-edition spice tins. Customers can also enjoy Yawataya’s shichimi spices in-store to customize their sandwich experience.
