Tsutaya Bookstore has teamed up with renowned illustrator Hiroshi Nagai and Hello Kitty to launch a special collaboration featuring exclusive items starting August 1, 2026. The collection will debut at the Daikanyama Tsutaya store and then roll out to Kyoto Okazaki, Roppongi, Shonan, and Ropponmatsu locations.

Every summer, Daikanyama Tsutaya hosts Hiroshi Nagai’s solo exhibition, showcasing his vibrant, resort-inspired artwork. This year, the collaboration introduces Hello Kitty enjoying a summer retreat within Nagai’s signature scenes of bright skies, shimmering pools, and swaying palm trees. The fusion of Nagai’s delicate brushwork and Hello Kitty’s flat vector style creates a harmonious and charming collection.
