Jaeger-LeCoultre will offer free admission to Valley of Inventions at Roppongi Hills Cafe in Tokyo from October 1 to 6, 2026. The immersive experience explores the Swiss watchmaker’s origins in the Joux Valley and its long history of precision, invention, and craftsmanship.
The event will run from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, although the venue may close at 5:00 PM on some days. Reservations are available online, and admission is free. A limited number of special cheese bites will also be served as part of the experience.
The event is held at Roppongi Hills Cafe and combines watchmaking demonstrations, newly presented timepieces, craft displays, and food inspired by the Joux Valley. The cheese bites are based on a recipe created by two-Michelin-star chef Gilles Varone.
About the Valley of Inventions Experience
The Manufacture in 1833
This historical image shows the manufacture at the beginning of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s story in 1833, when the Joux Valley workshop laid the foundation for the brand’s watchmaking tradition.

Antoine LeCoultre
Founder Antoine LeCoultre established the spirit of invention that continues through the brand’s precision movements, complications, and artisan crafts presented at the Roppongi exhibition.
The exhibition follows four chapters focused on precision: chronometry, tourbillons, multi-axis tourbillons, and complications. Visitors can learn how Jaeger-LeCoultre developed technologies such as the Calibre 170 tourbillon, the Gyrotourbillon 1, and the Duometre system, while seeing how technical design and artistic decoration work together in high watchmaking.

Watchmakers and artisans from the manufacture in the Joux Valley will demonstrate enamel decoration and the assembly of complicated movements. The program also presents the Made of Makers concept, which connects watchmaking with other creative fields through shared values of creativity, expertise, and precision.
