Only a limited run of Kyushu seafood sushi is available at Kura Sushi locations across Japan from October 2, 2026. The seasonal fair features fish from the waters around Kyushu, along with new aged sushi and small health-focused dishes.
Some items will end when planned quantities are reached. The main Kyushu selections are available through October 25, while several dishes have shorter sales periods ending October 12.
The menu is served in Kura Sushi restaurants, with prices starting at ¥110 (tax included). A QR coupon can also reduce one plate of Norwegian raw salmon from ¥160 (tax included) to no charge when used with a purchase of at least ¥1,000 (tax included) in one transaction.
About the Kyushu Sushi Fair
The lineup highlights the character of each ingredient. The greater amberjack is skinned and sliced in the restaurant to preserve freshness, while the seared mackerel showcases its rich, fatty skin. The horse mackerel is mixed with a light white-dashi seasoning and pairs with fragrant seaweed.
Kura Sushi is also adding two items to its double-aged series. The fish are aged using methods selected for each species at the company’s central kitchen, bringing out a fuller flavor and appealing texture. The menu also includes a rare southern bluefin tuna cut, surf clam, and a shrimp-and-avocado sushi topped with a rich shrimp cream sauce and grilled cheese sauce.
