The first installment, “Kappa’s Bluefin Tuna Chutoro Festival,” runs nationwide from July 30 to August 19, 2026. This event spotlights the “king of tuna,” premium bluefin chutoro, served freshly sliced in-store.
The classic chutoro nigiri is priced at ¥140 per piece (tax included). Other featured items include the “Bluefin Toro-Taku Wrap,” combining diced chutoro with crunchy takuan pickles wrapped in seaweed for ¥190, and a “Three Tuna Tasting Plate” that offers a variety of tuna cuts including chutoro, thick-cut tuna, and negitoro wrapped sushi topped with salmon roe.
Additionally, there is a special “Seared Bluefin & Southern Tuna Chutoro” duo for ¥450, topped with aromatic green onions and onion slices. For those who enjoy fried dishes, the menu also includes “Tatsuta-age Tuna and Fish with Onion Slices,” priced from ¥430, and a richer version with tartar sauce for ¥490.
