This summer, Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten is transforming its Shikasarukitsune Building in Nara into a refreshing oasis to celebrate its 5th anniversary. From June 12 to August 31, visitors can enjoy a series of unique summer-themed events designed to offer a cool escape from the heat.

With activities ranging from a massive 12-meter nagashi-somen slider to handcrafted workshops and evening tea ceremonies, the event provides a delightful way to explore Nara’s cultural heritage.
About the Event

The Shikasarukitsune Building, a landmark in Nara operated by Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten, is hosting this event as part of its year-long anniversary celebrations. The theme “Nara’s New Summer Oasis” aims to offer visitors a series of cooling experiences, including a giant somen noodle slider and traditional Japanese shaved ice, known as kakigori.
