Ogaki Bookstore is introducing BOOKHOME, a new bookstore and community facility, in Kyoto for the first time at this location. The new concept will open on December 4, 2026, inside the first floor of Wings Kyoto in Nakagyo Ward.
BOOKHOME is planned as an everyday space combining books, food, learning and events. It will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. as scheduled, with no regular closing days apart from facility inspection dates and designated year-end and New Year holidays.
The facility will offer new and used books, reading and study areas, food, and community programs. Its food partners include Teppan no Spaghetti, making its first Kyoto-area appearance, Curry Shop Family, Okazuya Kirin and OrySNACK Kyoto, a snack-style space featuring remote service by OriHime robot pilots.

BOOKHOME is designed as a place where visitors can browse, read, study, eat and spend time at their own pace. The concept brings together the ideas of BOOK, HOME and COMMUNITY, with the aim of creating a welcoming local space that feels like another home rather than somewhere used only to purchase a book.
