Wendy’s Japan and First Kitchen have teamed up to launch Bao Boba, a delivery-focused boba drink brand, in five Japanese regions from October 29, 2026. The new ghost restaurant concept is available through delivery apps and also offers takeaway at participating stores.
The menu is being tested at five suburban locations in Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba, Kanagawa, and Aichi, where delivery demand is expected to be strong. Bao Boba is planned as an ongoing menu rather than a short seasonal promotion, with orders available through Uber Eats and rocket now.

Tapioca Double Strawberry Cider
Tapioca Double Strawberry Cider adds strawberry-flavored tapioca and fruit pieces to a refreshing Seven Up base. Prices are ¥750 for Regular and ¥1,050 for Mega (tax included).
Bao Boba brings together chewy tapioca pearls and tea- or fruit-based drinks prepared through the Wendy’s First Kitchen and First Kitchen network. Tea drinks use carefully selected tea leaves extracted at low temperature for a clear, aromatic flavor, while the cafe latte uses espresso prepared in-store. The name combines the baobab tree, associated with growth and vitality, with boba tea.
