A New Chicken Recipe
KFC changed the filling from chicken breast to a single piece of chicken thigh and redesigned the coating, cooking method, and sauces. The development process took about one and a half years.
Original Chicken Burger
The classic Original Chicken Burger features juicy chicken thigh with a crisp coating and costs ¥490 (tax included).
Original Chicken Burger with Red Hot Sauce
The Red Hot Sauce version uses a newly developed mayonnaise-based sauce with a mild level of heat. The individual burger costs ¥540 (tax included).
Original Chicken Burger with Cheese
A slice of cheddar cheese adds richness to the chicken’s spices and toasted flavors. The individual burger costs ¥540 (tax included).
Premier Burger
Premier Burger combines the Original Chicken Burger with thick-cut bacon, a round omelet, and a garlic pepper mayonnaise sauce. It costs ¥750 (tax included).
Premier Cheese Burger
Premier Cheese Burger adds cheddar cheese to the Premier Burger for a richer, more substantial bite. It costs ¥790 (tax included).
KFC rebuilt the burger recipes from the chicken outward. The former chicken breast filling has been replaced with a single piece of chicken thigh, while the coating method, cooking process, and sauces were redesigned to suit a burger. Each piece is prepared by hand in the restaurant to bring out the meat’s juiciness and crisp coating.
