Marugame Udon has expanded its regular menu in Japan with four popular udon dishes and a new ¥300 Udon Bento, available from October 6, 2026. This is the chain’s first major regular-menu expansion in about four years.
The new lineup is designed to give customers more ways to choose between freshly made udon, hot or chilled styles, and takeout options. The Udon Bento is available nationwide for takeout only, while the four promoted udon dishes become permanent menu items.
The new Udon Bento costs ¥300 (tax included) for one serving of udon. It comes with eight complimentary condiments and toppings, while the four regular udon dishes are Spicy Pork Dipping Udon, Mentaiko Cream Udon, Beef and Burdock Udon, and Beef and Burdock Bukkake Udon.
About Marugame Udon
Marugame Udon makes its noodles in each restaurant using 100% Hokkaido wheat, salt, and water. The noodles are prepared from flour, cut, and boiled in the store, giving the menu its freshly made texture.

The Udon Bento is built around a simple combination of freshly made noodles and dashi. Customers can add the included condiments and toppings, or combine them with tempura to create a preferred flavor. This makes the ¥300 item a straightforward option for a casual takeout meal.
Among the four permanent dishes, Spicy Pork Dipping Udon pairs noodles with a sweet-and-spicy dipping broth with a gradual chili oil heat. Mentaiko Cream Udon uses a rich cream-based dashi with bonito powder, shiso, and spicy cod roe. The beef and burdock dishes combine sweet-savory beef and fragrant burdock with either hot broth or bukkake-style sauce.
Marugame Udon says it operates more than 800 restaurants in Japan and continues to prepare noodles in each store. The new menu gives diners both familiar seasonal favorites and a low-priced takeout choice as regular offerings.
