Chiikawa Baby Castella will open its second shop at Kyoto’s Nishiki Market on November 18, 2026. The new takeout store will serve freshly baked baby castella, soft-serve desserts, seasonal ice pops, and Chiikawa merchandise.
The Kyoto Nishiki shop will operate with advance reservations and timed entry from November 18, 2026, through January 3, 2027. Guests will order through a mobile ordering system, while self-service checkout will also be available. Cash cannot be used.

About Chiikawa Baby Castella
The new shop brings the food and merchandise lineup already offered at the Otaru location to Kyoto. The baby castella is baked in the shop and has a soft, springy texture. Cream-topped versions come with one randomly selected original sasumata pick, while guests can choose from five character designs for the baby castella served with soft-serve.
