This Halloween-themed afternoon tea creatively blends autumn’s seasonal ingredients with playful motifs like ghosts, spider webs, and crosses. The menu features flavors such as persimmon, Shine Muscat grapes, pears, chestnuts, porcini mushrooms, angel shrimp, roasted sweet potatoes, and duck. The sweets include a ghost-shaped panna cotta with persimmon compote, a dark opera cake inspired by Halloween nights, and a vibrant green Shine Muscat tart representing a witch’s garden. Savory dishes include a layered roasted sweet potato potage with chestnut braise and consommé jelly, accented with beet pickles shaped like crosses, and a pumpkin mousse garnished with a spider web tuile. Two types of homemade scones—plain and pumpkin—are served with clotted cream, chocolate toffee cream, and apple confiture.
The welcome mocktail, “Crimson Elixir,” combines blood orange juice with roasted green tea syrup, ginger ale, and black sesame, evoking the image of a vampire’s favorite drink to set a festive Halloween mood.
From November 1 to 15, the JW Lounge will serve the “JW Autumn Afternoon Tea,” featuring seasonal ingredients like foie gras mousse coated with Kyoho grapes, pear and raspberry mousse, and Lamington Mont Blanc sweets.
