About Dragon Quest Island and the Hyado Shaved Ice
Located within the Nijigen no Mori anime park, Dragon Quest Island merges real and digital worlds in a field RPG adventure based on the iconic Dragon Quest series. From July 18, 2026, visitors can enjoy a special summer-only menu of shaved ice inspired by the series’ famous ice spells: Hyado, Hyadaruko, and Mahyado.
The shaved ice comes in three sizes and flavors, with the size and price increasing alongside the spell’s power. The largest, Mahyado, weighs up to 600 grams and makes for a striking photo opportunity. These icy treats are designed to be shared among family and friends, sparking conversations about which spell to choose and creating memorable moments that capture the spirit of Dragon Quest.
