Strawberry Christmas Cake
Hyatt Regency Kyoto’s Strawberry Christmas Cake costs ¥5,800 (tax included). The approximately 15cm cake combines fluffy sponge, house-blended chantilly cream and carefully selected strawberries.
Raspberry Chocolate Cake
The approximately 15cm Raspberry Chocolate Cake is ¥5,800 (tax included). French chocolate mousse is paired with raspberry cream, jam and a crisp chocolate cookie base.
Blanc de Noël
Blanc de Noël costs ¥5,800 (tax included) and measures approximately 17cm long. Its fromage blanc mousse is layered with yuzu and mango cream and strawberry jelly.
Stollen
The approximately 20cm by 7.5cm stollen is ¥3,000 (tax included), with delivery available for an additional fee. It contains rum-soaked dried fruit, roasted walnuts and Japanese butter.
Galette des Rois
The approximately 19cm Galette des Rois costs ¥2,700 (tax included). It is made with fermented butter and almond cream and comes with a separate French-made fève and crown; the fève is not edible.
The hotel’s pastry team prepares the collection with seasonal ingredients and classic European techniques. The Christmas cakes range from a strawberry shortcake to a rich chocolate and raspberry mousse cake and a light fromage blanc cake with yuzu, mango and strawberry. The stollen is made with rum-soaked dried fruit, roasted walnuts and Japanese butter, while the Galette des Rois combines fermented butter with almond cream.
