Only a limited run of Kumamoto food and drink experiences is available across Fukuoka’s Tenjin area during Kumamoto Mon x Fukuoka Tenjin 2026. The three-week event brings Kumamoto specialties, regional products, pop-up events, and local dining collaborations to the city from October 7 through October 27, 2026.
The main venues include Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin, 40 yatai stalls in Tenjin and Nagahama, participating restaurants, bakeries, and shopping facilities. At the opening ceremony on October 7, Kumamon and local representatives will take part in a tape-cutting ceremony at Elgala Passage Square from 11:00 to 11:30.
Highlights include first-glass Kuma shochu for ¥200 (tax included) at 40 yatai, a ¥1,000 senbero set at some stalls, and limited menus using ingredients such as Amakusa Daio chicken, Kumamoto eel, Yatsushiro tomatoes, and Yamagawa chestnuts. A special Hinokuni-go bus ticket costs ¥5,200 (tax included) and includes a ¥1,000 shopping coupon.
