About the Nakatsugawa Chestnut Kinton Lover pop-up

Shingendo

Shingendo makes its chestnut kinton with carefully selected Japanese chestnuts and sugar, using a traditional handmade method. The source lists the individual price at ¥324 (tax included).

Nakatsugawa chestnut kinton is made by cooking chestnuts and combining them with sugar before shaping the mixture by hand. Although the ingredients are simple, each shop creates a different balance of sweetness, smoothness, chestnut pieces, and cooking style. The event also presents modern sweets that use chestnut kinton in new ways, alongside tourism information about the Higashimino area.
