About Little Flower Distillery and Fukuoka Gin
Located in Fukuoka’s Chuo Ward, Little Flower Distillery opened in August 2026 as the city’s first licensed craft gin distillery. Their flagship product, Fukuoka Gin, blends multiple spirits using regional ingredients such as Yame-grown Japanese black tea, citrus “Haruka” from Itoshima, and green laver harvested from Hakata Bay. The gin is crafted to reflect the unique connection between Fukuoka’s cityscape, sea, and mountains.
The gin features a balanced flavor profile with the gentle sweetness of black tea, bright citrus aroma, umami from green laver, and refreshing juniper notes. It pairs well with meals and can be enjoyed in various ways, including with soda or water. The distillery also offers sweets made from ingredients leftover after distillation, such as cookies using the black tea and desserts featuring Itoshima Haruka citrus.
