Marugen Ramen Celebrates 25th Anniversary with Kumano Gakko Original Bookmarks Across Japan

Marugen Ramen is celebrating its 25th anniversary by collaborating with the popular picture book series Kumano Gakko. Starting September 1, 2026, customers nationwide can receive original Kumano Gakko bookmarks with their purchases.

For every ¥1,000 spent (tax included) at any of the 245 Marugen Ramen locations across Japan, customers will be given one of four different original bookmarks. This campaign will continue until supplies last.

The bookmarks come in four unique designs and are distributed randomly. The offer applies to the total amount before any discounts, and resale of the bookmarks is prohibited. Marugen Ramen is known for its signature aged soy sauce pork soba, along with popular side dishes like gyoza and soft serve ice cream. Some store details and prices may vary.

This special collaboration marks one of five planned projects celebrating Marugen Ramen’s 25th anniversary. The Kumano Gakko series, beloved for its stories about twelve bear cubs living in a forest boarding house, has sold over 2.31 million copies since its first release in 2002.
