Sugar Butter Tree Soft Serve Arrives in Kyushu with Two Unique Flavors at Koga Service Area

For the first time in Japan, Sugar Butter Tree is offering its signature soft serve ice cream in Kyushu. Starting July 16, 2026, two varieties of their popular soft serve are available at the Koga Service Area on the Kyushu Expressway.

This release targets travelers and dessert lovers seeking a quick, delicious treat without needing advance reservations. The soft serve comes in two flavors, including a special collaboration with Royal’s famous sweet potato, priced at ¥620 each.

About Sugar Butter Tree Soft Serve

Sugar Butter Tree, a brand launched in 2010 by the renowned Tokyo confectionery producer Gin no Budo, specializes in buttery cereal sweets. To celebrate their 15th anniversary in 2025, they introduced their first-ever soft serve ice cream, which quickly gained popularity for its creamy texture and unique “crunchy and fluffy” sensation.

Now available in Kyushu, the soft serve is sold exclusively at the Koga Service Area’s Royal Bakery. It features a blend of two delicious flavors: a creamy white chocolate soft serve made with Hokkaido milk and a rich butter-flavored soft serve reminiscent of their signature cereal dough. Each serving is presented in a cute original cup and comes with two crispy cereal biscuits for added texture and enjoyment.
