For the first time in Japan, the main dining restaurant Singular at Galleria Nijo Castle Kyoto has received the prestigious “Award of Excellence” from the global wine magazine Wine Spectator for 2026.
To celebrate this honor, Singular is offering a special dinner course featuring a 160g Omi beef fillet paired with three selected Japanese wines, available from July 1 to December 31, 2026.

Singular is the innovative French restaurant at Galleria Nijo Castle Kyoto, a boutique luxury hotel located next to the UNESCO World Heritage site Nijo Castle. The restaurant offers a unique fusion of traditional French cuisine with Japanese ingredients, focusing on seasonal and locally sourced produce from Kyoto and the surrounding regions.




The wine list, which earned the award, features approximately 130 labels totaling around 430 bottles, primarily French and Japanese wines carefully selected by sommeliers to complement the dishes’ flavors and balance acidity, texture, and finish.
