Only 200 Kyo-Tamba Chestnut Stollen will be available as part of HOTEL THE MITSUI KYOTO’s Christmas Collection 2026 in Kyoto. The hotel is also accepting reservations for festive courses, Christmas cake, and a holiday afternoon tea.
The collection brings seasonal dining to the hotel near Nijo Castle, with Christmas afternoon tea served from December 1 to 25 and special lunch and dinner courses available on December 24 and 25. The chestnut stollen and Christmas cakes can be collected during the same holiday period.
Christmas cakes can be reserved online, by phone, or at THE SHOP on the hotel’s basement level. The Kyo-Tamba Chestnut Stollen costs ¥5,000 (tax included), while the Kyoto Strawberry Christmas Cake costs ¥10,000 for the 15-centimeter size or ¥3,000 for the individual 7-centimeter size.

TOKI Christmas Special Course
TOKI’s Christmas course features lobster gently cooked in shrimp-scented butter with American sauce and browned-butter potato puree, followed by Japanese wagyu fillet with black truffle sauce and sweet potato gnocchi. Lunch is ¥12,000 or ¥18,000 per person, and dinner is ¥35,000.

FORNI Christmas Special Course
FORNI presents Italian Christmas lunch and dinner courses with poached lobster, celeriac fondue, colorful vegetable sauces, and seasonal venison pasta with consommé. Lunch costs ¥13,000 per person, while dinner costs ¥22,000.

Kyoto Strawberry Christmas Cake
The Kyoto Strawberry Christmas Cake layers local strawberries with vanilla-scented cream and sponge cake. The 15-centimeter cake costs ¥10,000 and includes an original wrapping cloth, while the individual 7-centimeter size costs ¥3,000.

Kyo-Tamba Chestnut Stollen
Limited to 200 pieces, the Kyo-Tamba Chestnut Stollen combines buttery dough with Kyoto chestnuts, pistachios, pecans, and mirin-marinated dried fruit. Each stollen costs ¥5,000.
The festive lineup combines Kyoto ingredients with the hotel’s restaurants and lounge. The afternoon tea includes more than 20 free-flow drinks, while the special courses highlight seafood, seasonal game, local produce, and carefully developed sauces.
