teamLab Kyoto will open Teahouse in a Sea of Light 一滴庵, a new tea space set inside a sea of solidified light, on November 20, 2026. The experience will be part of teamLab Biovortex Kyoto, within walking distance of Kyoto Station.

The tea space will be open during the museum’s regular hours of 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with last admission at 7:30 p.m. The museum is scheduled to close on November 17, November 19, and December 15, although visitors should check the official website for schedule changes.

The featured work is Tea in Spontaneous Order, also known as Resonating Tea. When tea is prepared, it begins to glow with its own rhythm and produce sounds, creating an artwork that changes through its interaction with nearby tea and the surrounding light.
