FAUCHON Hotel Kyoto will begin taking reservations for two Galette des Rois flavors with original Kyoto pottery fèves on November 1, 2026. The hotel will also release its FAUCHON New Year Bag on January 1, 2027.
Located in Kyoto’s Shimogyo Ward, the hotel’s Pastry & Boutique FAUCHON will handle pickup and sales from 10:00 to 18:00. The Galette des Rois is available by store pickup or delivery, while the New Year Bag will be sold for one week only at the hotel boutique.
The Original Galette des Rois costs ¥4,200 (tax included), and the white bean-strawberry version costs ¥4,800 (tax included). Each flavor is planned as a limited run of 100 cakes. The New Year Bag comes in three price levels: ¥10,000, ¥50,000, and ¥100,000.

The hotel boutique is open from 10:00 to 18:00 and serves as the pickup location for the Galette des Rois. The New Year Bag is also sold here.
Galette des Rois is a French pastry traditionally enjoyed around Epiphany. FAUCHON Hotel Kyoto fills its crisp pastry with almond cream for the Original flavor, while the second version combines white bean paste from Kyoto’s Nakamura Seianjo, founded in 1908, with sweet-tart strawberries. Each cake includes a locally made Kyoto pottery fève inspired by the zodiac sheep and a macaron; the design inside remains a surprise until the cake is opened.
