For the first time in Japan, Yokohama Grand InterContinental Hotel is hosting “HIMAWARI Week,” a special event celebrating its 35th anniversary with vibrant sunflower decorations throughout the hotel in Yokohama.

The event brightens the 1st-floor lobby and 2nd-floor entrance with sunflowers, reflecting the hotel’s wish to grow like the flower facing the sun and to pass on its legacy. Running from August 5 to August 26, the event also features a unique ice sculpture combined with sunflowers on the anniversary day, August 20.

On August 20, the 35th anniversary, a special display combining sunflowers and ice sculptures will appear in the lobby, offering a refreshing sight.
