This summer, the popular anime Haikyu!! teams up once again with Kasho Sanzen, the renowned sweet maker in Sendai, for a special collaboration featuring exclusive packaging and limited-edition treats. From August 11 to 25, 2026, fans and visitors can purchase these unique Haikyu!! sweets at JR Sendai Station for a limited time.
The collaboration celebrates the connection between the anime’s Sendai-based characters and Kasho Sanzen’s famous local confections. This year’s lineup includes beautifully illustrated packages featuring characters from the series, making these sweets perfect souvenirs or gifts for anime fans and visitors exploring Sendai.
About the Haikyu!! x Kasho Sanzen Collaboration
Kasho Sanzen, known for its iconic Sendai specialty “Hagi no Tsuki,” continues its third year of partnership with the hit volleyball anime Haikyu!!. The collaboration features new original artwork of beloved characters such as Aone Takanobu and Futakuchi Kenji, who have been appointed Sendai Tourism Ambassadors. Their images grace the packaging of the new “Date Emaki” baumkuchen and other sweets, celebrating the rich history of Sendai.
Highlights
- The “Date Emaki” baumkuchen features layers of carefully baked dough wrapped around sweet red bean paste and cream, presented in a special Haikyu!! package with illustrations of Aone Takanobu and Futakuchi Kenji. It is sold as an 8-piece set for ¥1,550 (tax included).
- The popular “Hagi no Tsuki” cake returns with fresh packaging featuring Tsukishima Kei and a moon motif, available as a 5-piece set for ¥1,690 (tax included).
- Sendai’s famous “Zunda Mochi” (sweet edamame paste rice cakes) comes in a special Haikyu!! package showcasing Oikawa Tooru, sold as an 8-piece set for ¥1,550 (tax included).
- The limited-edition “Zunda Shake” vanilla shake blended with sweet edamame paste is available at select Zunda Saryo shops with a special Oikawa Tooru straw tag. Prices are ¥630 for takeout and ¥642 for eat-in (tax included).
- Exclusive Haikyu!! shopping bags featuring Tsukishima Kei and Oikawa Tooru are also available for ¥100 (tax included).
These items will be sold at a special event space in front of the Midori no Madoguchi ticket office on the 3rd floor of JR Sendai Station. The event runs daily from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM during the campaign period. The Zunda Shake is sold separately at designated Zunda Saryo stores within Sendai Station and nearby locations.
