Qu’il Fait Bon, a popular tart specialty cafe, is bringing back its acclaimed tart made with high-sugar OSMIC fruit mini tomatoes. Available for a limited time from June 16 to July 17, 2026, this tart will be sold exclusively at three locations: Gran Maison Ginza, Aoyama, and Yokohama.
About Qu’il Fait Bon’s OSMIC Tomato Tart

This tart is a unique summer treat that combines the rich sweetness and fruity aroma of OSMIC tomatoes, which have a sugar content of 10—much higher than typical fruit tomatoes. The tart dough is specially made by kneading tomato paste into the crust, blending perfectly with the creamy filling and fresh tomatoes to create a harmonious and distinctive flavor experience. Visitors to Japan during this period can enjoy this rare seasonal dessert that highlights the freshness and natural sweetness of premium tomatoes in a sophisticated tart form.

Qu’il Fait Bon is known for its vibrant selection of tarts featuring seasonal fruits and carefully chosen ingredients. This year, the cafe is featuring the “OSMIC Fruit Mini Tomato 10” tart, which first gained attention last summer for its innovative use of tomatoes in a sweet tart. The tart uses about 20 OSMIC fruit mini tomatoes per whole tart (21cm), offering a juicy sweetness that fills the mouth with flavor.
Highlights
- The tart features OSMIC fruit mini tomatoes with a sugar content of 10, delivering twice the sweetness of regular tomatoes and a fruity aroma without any green bitterness.
- The crust is made with tomato paste, giving it a subtle tang and balancing the buttery flavor while enhancing the tomato taste throughout the tart.
- Available only at Gran Maison Ginza, Aoyama, and Yokohama locations, each piece is priced at ¥880 (tax included), and a whole 21cm tart costs ¥7,041 (tax included).
OSMIC tomatoes are cultivated by OSMIC FOODS with a focus on natural soil made from rice bran, crab shells, and oyster shells, and are carefully managed to maintain their sweetness and freshness. Each tomato is individually measured to ensure it meets the high sugar content standard before being used in the tart.
The tart development manager, Yohei Kato, shared that the extraordinary sweetness and balanced acidity of the tomatoes inspired the creation of a tart where the tomato flavor is harmoniously integrated into the crust, cream, and fruit layers for a unique taste experience that stands out from fresh tomato desserts.
