THE CITY BAKERY will open Ave.Takanawa, a new bakery and cafe in Shinagawa, Tokyo, on October 1, 2026. The shop is located four minutes on foot from Shinagawa Station’s Takanawa Exit.
The new location will serve bakery items, pastries, lunch options, coffee, and takeout in the Ave.Takanawa office building. It will also include a roughly 50-seat private rental area for meetings, events, and hospitality.
The opening set is available in limited quantities for ¥2,000 before tax and ¥2,200 including tax. The hot coffee pot service provides about 10 cups, or 2.5 liters, for ¥3,000 before tax and ¥3,240 including tax. Paper cups can be omitted for a ¥300 discount, while additional cups cost ¥20 each.

Located on the south side of the building’s first-floor entrance hall, the cafe is designed as a spacious, light-filled retreat with natural materials and high ceilings. THE CITY BAKERY also plans to offer its bakery products, finger foods, alcohol, and catering through THE LOFT at CB, making the space suitable for private gatherings as well as everyday visits.
