This premium kakigori is crafted using naturally frozen ice harvested from Nikko’s pristine waters during winter. The ice is carefully stored and shaved by skilled artisans to create a fluffy, cotton-like texture that melts smoothly in your mouth without causing the typical brain freeze sensation. This unique texture and pure taste make it a perfect summer treat.
The “Shinedo Kakigori” is served at the Japanese restaurant Senbazuru located on the lobby floor of Hotel New Otani Makuhari. The dessert uses carefully selected ingredients combined with the rare Nikko natural ice, resulting in an exquisite summer sweet. This year, the menu features two flavors: the newly introduced matcha and the fan-favorite mango.
