Starbucks Japan has teamed up with Pokémon for a collaboration menu and merchandise collection launching across Japan on September 30, 2026. The centerpiece is the Pikachu Honey Cream Latte, a drink created through a nationwide barista competition, alongside 41 Pokémon-themed goods.
The latte will be available at Starbucks stores across Japan, excluding some locations, from September 30 through October 8. Stock may run out temporarily or the sale may end early, so customers hoping to collect the collaboration sticker or shop the goods may want to visit early.
The iced Tall-size Pikachu Honey Cream Latte costs ¥678 (tax included) for takeaway or ¥690 (tax included) when enjoyed in the store. Each drink purchase includes one original collaboration sticker while supplies last.
About the Pokémon and Starbucks Collaboration

From Barista Competition to Collaboration Drink
The Pikachu Honey Cream Latte was selected from more than 700 Pokémon-themed beverage recipes submitted by Starbucks baristas. The iced Tall-size drink is priced at ¥678 (tax included) for takeaway or ¥690 (tax included) for in-store service.

Original Artwork for the Coffee Adventure
Illustrator Hikaru Ichijo created 12 original art designs for the Pokémon and Starbucks collaboration. The artwork explores connections between Pokémon, baristas, and coffee, and is also used across the collection of 41 collaboration goods.
The drink began as the winning recipe in the Pokémon and Starbucks Barista Battle, which attracted more than 700 submissions from Starbucks baristas. Six finalists developed Pokémon-inspired beverages before the champion recipe by Junko Nitta of Starbucks Koriyama Asaka became the featured menu item. The latte combines espresso with honey and caramel flavors, honey-flavored whipped cream, and a heart-shaped topping inspired by Pikachu’s red cheeks.

The collaboration also features original artwork by illustrator Hikaru Ichijo. Twelve designs show Pokémon and baristas building connections through coffee, while eight accompanying stories follow their shared coffee adventure from a first meeting to a new departure. The 41-item goods collection uses this artwork across a range of Starbucks collaboration products.
