About the Collaboration
Founded in 1952 in Osaka’s Shinsaibashi district, Ginso has been innovating traditional castella for 75 years. Their motto is to break free from traditional Japanese sweets and create new styles of castella for the 21st century. To celebrate their anniversary, Ginso partnered with Sanrio to develop a character collaboration featuring Pom Pom Purin, who ranked first in the 2026 Sanrio Character Ranking.

The collaboration aims to introduce castella to a younger audience by combining the charm of Pom Pom Purin with a delicious caramel pudding flavor. The flavor balances the rich egg and milk taste of pudding with caramel’s bittersweet notes, carefully crafted to appeal to all ages without being too bitter or too mild.
