Special San-X Character Train Debuts on Fuji Kyuko Line in Japan

A special San-X character train featuring popular characters like Rilakkuma, Sumikko Gurashi, and Tarepanda will run on the Fuji Kyuko Line starting September 1, 2026.

Themed around the newly opened San-X Paradise area inside Fuji-Q Highland, this train offers a delightful experience for visitors traveling along the Fuji Kyuko Line, which connects Otsuki and Kawaguchiko stations near Mount Fuji.

The train features original artwork decorating the exterior doors, headmarks, and interior posters. Passengers who get off at Fuji-Q Highland Station can also receive one of the limited-edition commemorative boarding certificates, with 1,000 available during each distribution period.

About the San-X Paradise Character Train

This special train runs on the Fuji Kyuko Line’s 90th anniversary commemorative train between Otsuki and Kawaguchiko stations. It showcases exclusive San-X artwork inside and outside the train, bringing the charming world of San-X characters to life during your journey. The train ride offers a unique way to enjoy the scenery of Mount Fuji while immersing yourself in the cute and relaxing atmosphere of San-X’s popular characters.
