The Shanghai-style curry replicates the original recipe created by Sakimiya Hayao, the former owner of Shanghai-tei, a restaurant featured in Patlabor EZY File 2. Developed with the cooperation of Tada Iwamoto, president of the Japan Western Food Association, the dish uses traditional Chinese ingredients such as pork, bamboo shoots, sweet bean paste, oyster sauce, and shiitake mushrooms to create a unique curry flavor.
