About Samurai Salmon at Kakujo Gyoryui
Kakujo Gyoryui Holdings Co., Ltd., known for its fresh seafood specialty stores, began selling Samurai Salmon on August 3, 2026. This Atlantic salmon is the only domestically farmed variety in Japan, cultivated by the Japanese subsidiary of Norwegian company Proximar Seafood using a closed recirculating aquaculture system near Mount Fuji in Shizuoka Prefecture. This method ensures a safe, pollution-free environment, resulting in salmon with firm, flavorful flesh and rich fat content.

Samurai Salmon is quickly processed after harvest and transported through the Toyosu Market to maintain its remarkable freshness, arriving in stores much faster than imported salmon varieties. This freshness enhances its texture and taste, offering a satisfying balance of fat and firmness that appeals to both children and gourmet adults.
