About Tim Ho Wan Lalaport TOKYO-BAY
Tim Ho Wan was founded in Hong Kong in 2009 by Mak Kwai Pui, a dim sum chef from the prestigious four-starred Lung King Heen restaurant, and his partner Leung Fai Keung. Their goal was to provide high-quality dim sum at affordable prices. The restaurant quickly gained fame, earning a Michelin star in 2010 and being called the “world’s cheapest Michelin-starred restaurant.” Today, Tim Ho Wan has locations across Asia, Australia, the U.S., and Japan, where it opened its first store in Hibiya in 2018. The Lalaport TOKYO-BAY store opened in 2025 and is known for its popular signature baked BBQ pork buns and other handmade dim sum dishes.
