Sukesan Udon, read as “Sukesan Udon,” has been loved in Kitakyushu for about 40 years. Now, the long-awaited pop-up Tokyo debut is happening. From Saturday, July 13, 2024, to Monday, July 15, 2024, a pop-up restaurant will open in Kanda, Tokyo. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the flavors cultivated in Kitakyushu in the metropolitan area, and it will be an unmissable event for many Sukesan fans.

Sukesan Udon Menu: Enjoy the Unchanged Taste Since Its Founding in Tokyo

Suddenly, Sukesan Udon, a three-time consecutive winner of the Michelin Guide’s Bib Gourmand, will open in a space borrowed from Bistro Vivant next to “Kagawa Ippuku.” Founded in 1976, Sukesan Udon is a udon chain with 69 stores in seven prefectures in Kyushu, as well as Yamaguchi, Okayama, Osaka, and Hyogo. Its specialty is the chewy textured udon and the carefully crafted broth made from mackerel flakes, kelp, and shiitake mushrooms.

At the pop-up restaurant, the signature dishes “Niku Gobo Tempura Udon” and “Sukesan Happiness Set” will be served.

Niku Gobo Tempura Udon

The price is 900 yen (including tax). It features sweet and spicy flavored beef and crispy burdock tempura. The special udon and carefully crafted broth blend perfectly, allowing you to taste the essence of Sukesan Udon.

Sukesan Happiness Set

The price is 1,200 yen (including tax). In addition to the Niku Gobo Tempura Udon, it comes with a mini-sized Katsu Toji Don and the famous Botamochi. For first-timers, this set allows you to enjoy the charm of Sukesan Udon.

Sukesan Udon Tokyo Kanda Access Information

The pop-up restaurant venue is “Bistrot VIVANT.” It is a 5-minute walk from JR Kanda Station. During the event, the opening hours are from 11:00 to 16:00, and it may end as soon as the products run out, so it might be necessary to visit early.
